We saw a gap in the industry: Aussie lure designers were relying on backyard pools, bathtubs, or trial-and-error on the water to test their creations. That’s not good enough—not for a country with some of the most diverse and demanding fishing environments in the world.
So we built the Lure Lab in our Derrimut Superstore, a purpose built facility featuring:
8 high-speed cameras capturing every angle of lure movement
Controlled water flow to simulate estuary currents, tidal surges, and offshore drift
Lighting and backdrop control for visual clarity and motion analysis
Accessible booking system for lure makers, retailers, and product developers
